takes thirty minutes. To Tottenham Court Road for Oxford Street shopping
is twenty four minutes and a couple of minutes more gets you to
Leicester Square for theatre land. It is three minutes walk to a bus
stop in Ballards Lane, and about ten to North Finchley bus station with
an even wider selection of routes.
The M1 motorway is within ten minutes drive, as is the North Circular Road. You can be on the M25 in twenty minutes.
Schools
The
cottage is in the London Borough of Barnet, which has some of the best
state secondary schools in the country, including Queen Elizabeth's
School (boys) and Queen Elizabeth’s Girls' school, Henrietta Barnet, St
Michael’s Catholic Grammar School (girls) and Finchley Catholic High
School (boys). The borough's primary school are also very good, and one
is only three minutes from Bramley Cottage.
Supermarkets
A
Waitrose supermarket is about eight minutes walk and another five takes
you to Aldi; Tesco is a six minute drive south and Sainsbury about the
same north.
Other shopping
North Finchley shopping centre
begins about ten minutes walk to the north and Finchley central shops
are ten minutes to the south. There are free supermarket car parks in
both centres. North London's best shopping centre, Brent Cross, is a
fifteen minute drive.
